[SOLVED] Replaced old SSD with new can't boot the old SSD.

So i bought a 970 EV0 PLUS NVMe M.2 to replace my Kingston ssd now 300. i installed the EVO plus and it stopped recognizing the kingston....so ive taken out the kinston and installed widows on the evo....i want to recover some files from the old kingston ssd but i cant seem to get it to recognizing it. both ssds have windows 10 on and i was hoping it would just duel boot and i could press a key and select which drive i want to boot from butthe kingston no longer shows up....i really dont want to have to take out the evo.

taken out the evo plus now the kingston boots up. must be a way to duel boot without having to take the other ssd out.

Often, use of a drive in a M.2 port disables one or more SATA ports on the motherboard.

Also, you generally do that BEFORE any reconfig.
New drive, new OS etc etc...

Prepare your data FIRST. Then mess with hardware and software.

yes its a 2.5 sata and the MB is the msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac

It may just involve moving to a different SATA port.
