Question replaced processor, no post, cpu led light is red

replaced ryzen 7 2700x with a newer ryzen 7 3700 due to damaged pins. however now every time I boot computer fans will run and lights will work but no outputting power. returned processor and got another, maybe it was a bad processor, but still has the same issues. I also reset bios by jumping it and pull battery out. no damaged pins on this pcu and no thermal paste on the underside. double checked to make sure my 8 pin pcu plug was plugged in as well.

PSU- Cosair CX650
Motherboard- MSI x470 gaming plus
CPU- Ryzen 7 3700
GPU-AMD Radeon 5700xt

If you didn't update the BIOS, then that is most likely problem.

how would i update bios with the pc not posting. I already reset bios

You need an older Ryzen CPU, you can use it to do a BIOS update. Or bring it to a PC shop and get them to do it. Another option is I heard AMD has a loner program and they will lone you one to do the Bios update. Short Term Processor Loan Boot Kit
