I upgraded to an RTX 3090 Ti and therefore had to upgrade my power supply as well, I had trouble getting it to start afterward but was able to. However, I can't access any of the data on my hard drive. I did plug in the old PSU's power cable so I'm just hoping I didn't break my drive that way. My new PSU is a Corsair RM1000x

Old PSU -> new PSU.

Did you use the modular cables from the old PSU with the new one?

it may have fried the HDD's circuit board. If the drive has anything of importance, see if you can source out the circuit board of the same HD model and the same Rev. #. Sometimes you can find them on eBay.
