My PC’s power supply was on its way out so I replaced it with a EVGA 450 BT (450W). But after replacement, my disk is always showing 100% usage even when the processes are most generally in 0.1 mb ranges. The power supply that came with the PC I was replacing was a L300NM-01 (300W).
Now when I first turned the computer on after putting in the BT, things did run slow but after restarting the speed has improved back to normal but disk speed still says 100%.
I switched the cord between the DVD drive and the GPU Incase it was the cord, still the same. I also made sure all the cords were in all the way.
So does this mean I need to replace this power supply with a higher wattage? And if I do where did I go wrong picking this PSU so I won’t buy the wrong one again
