Hi,

I bought this Monitor off ebay and it was in great condition but it lacked the power cord. It was a good price so I thought, why not I would buy it and replace the power cord myself. I'm slowly finding that it is very dificult to do so. I was wondering if you guys knew of an appropriate replacement for a HP Pavilion 32inch monitor?

(Link to the monitor I'm talking about.) http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-pavilion-32-32-inch-display-p-v1m69aa-aba--1

This is the current adapter I'm looking at, will it work?

Thanks so much for any help.

Hi, if it's this monitor here...

...then according to the second-to-last page of the manual, it uses a "Chicony TPC-CA57 19.5 Vdc @ 4.62 A – 90 W" power adapter. A search for "TPC-CA57" turns up this...

You might also be able to find another compatible adapter elsewhere, as I didn't search around further than that.

Edit: As for the adapter you were looking at, it probably wouldn't work right, being an 18.5 volt, 65 watt adapter. It would be feeding the monitor a slightly incorrect voltage, and might not handle the power draw, since the manual stated that the...
I can;t find anything on the actual power adapter used - but it connects to the monitor via something that looks like HP's laptop power inputs.

I would double-check with HP, as even their own website doesn't give much info (and the monitor doesn't appear in search results for replacement parts).

Cryoburner, thank you so much for finding all that out for me. I had been looking into it and I agree the one I thought would not work. Everything looks like it should match up, so once again thanks for taking the time to help me!

Also thank you to everyone else that responded!
