replacement battery not charging

acer es1-511,i have replaced battery with acer original. but says 0% not charging. the original battery works so do i need to do a setup of somekind

Did you buy the new battery through Acer or through another place? Wondering if it is actually a OEM battery.

check if that new battery has clean contacs, maybe it has still some plastic protection on it?

yes it is an OEM battery. exactly the same as the one i removed. AP13B3K is the battery (a non removable)

Does it have the exact same specs as the original battery? I would compare the two to be sure.
