I want to replace my old Kodak DC290 with something more compact and with
the ability to take higher resolution pictures. I've done a lot of research
on various web sites and forums and am feeling overwhelmed by the amount of
information available.

Following is what I want, and I would appreciate any specific camera
recommendations:

· Compact size

· Less than $500

· Electronic viewfinder

· RAW or TIFF

· At least 4 million pixels

· Short lag time

· Fast recycle time

· 2.0" LCD

· Outdoor LCD

· Adjustable ISO

· Aperture priority

· Shutter priority

· At least 3x optical zoom

Hopefully I'm not asking for too much for $500.

Thanks,

Richard

Greetings Spencer,

If you can get by without a RAW file, you might want to consider the Kodak
DX7590 as it has some great features and is in the price range you noted.
For a review of the camera and its features visit the following URL. You
can output a file as a tiff later from the JPG file that the camera uses.

I know the DC290 was a great camera and it did yield a TIFF format. Not
sure of your needs but something to think about. A lot of camera that fits
everything else save the format.

Talk to you soon, let me know if you have questions.
