Hello everyone.
I plan on doing a major overhaul to my setup here in the near future. I currently have a 32" tv that is use as a monitor. I plan on upgrading to a 27" 1440p monitor within the next few months. I'm concerned that my 7870 will not be enough to game at this new resolution.
My system specs are
- Intel Core i5-2500k (cooled by corsair h50)
- 8 Gigabytes of RAM
- 4 500 Gigabyte hard drives in raid 0
- MSI 7870 Ghz edition 2Gb of VRAM
- 650 watt Ultra PSU (I also plan on upgrading this as well)
I plan on upgrading my graphics card but with my current PSU i'm only limited to 2 6 pin connectors. I want to future proof my system and upgrade my PSU as well and i have a 750 watt EVGA PSU picked our that will get the job done.
With all that information out of the way my budget is roughtly 350-400$ leftover to purchase a graphics card. What is recommended in my budget to game at 1440p? Or should i continue to save more and buy a more expensive card?
