Solution
The problem with your current system when it comes to getting a new Graphics card is your PSU.

The Corsair VS series are designed for light office use with very low power requirements (by Corsair's own definition). It would be unwise to go out and buy a brand new expensive GPU, and then put it in serious danger by letting that bad quality PSU power it.

If you can pick up a second hand 770 for cheap, then go for it, but if your going to look at an upgrade to a current 900 series, such as the GTX 970, then a PSU upgrade is definitely needed.

Its nothing to do with wattage. A good 550 watt PSU can power a 980ti build, no problem (check my sig).

However, it is all to do with quality. Even Corsair themselves say not to use VS series PSUs for gaming, so in my eyes, if the people that built something says its not safe, I'd usually take note.

"VS Series is the entry-level line of 240 Volt power supplies with high-end features. VS Series PSUs are a great choice if you’re building a home or office system with lower power demands" - Corsair's website
