Replacement motherboard question.

I have an hp 500-054 with Windows 8 that has a bad motherboard. That is the only thing I am replacing. Do I need to purchase Windows again?or will everything run as normal?

If Windows key was embedded in BIOS... then yes.
But... Why don't you RMA the PC?

It does not boot at all. Power light goes on fans spin. Not no signal to monitor.

And how did you determine it was the motherboard, and not something else? Like the PSU...
Or simply a disconnected cable.

A local PC shop might help in testing the components. I mean, it might not be a board issue and buying a new one might not solve the problem.
Edit: already answered.

I used a different power supply. Same thing. I figured it to be a motherboard after I disconnected all components one by one and after starting the pc no been error message. Everything I have read/watched online lead me to believe it's the motherboard. So I'm fairly certain that the case.
