Hi All,

The drives in my almost 10 year old DNS-323 have started making worrying noises, to be honest it's served me well as I've never had a failed drive but it's time for an upgrade.

My requirements would be:

- 2x 1TB+ SSD disks, raid1
- Able to run a DLNA media server (currently use mediatomb)
- SSH access to the box
- Web accesible torrent client (e.g: transmission)

I'm tempted by the DNS-327L, but I'm a bit put off by the build quality, the chassis seems a bit flimsy. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Haydn.

The big three vendors are Synology, Q-NAP, and Thecus. All three of these are high quality. They have models for most price ranges. I have been a Synology user for 6 years. There latest low end dual drive unit may interest you the DS215j. It is $200 for the chassis. The model number 215 tells you that this is the most current model "15" as in 2015.
