Replacement PSU suggestions

I have a faulty Antec Truepower Classic (750W). One failed after about 6 months and now the replacement has gone 18 months later. It's well within the 5 year warranty, so I could get it swapped, but after two faults I'm quite wary. If I ask for a refund, I'll only get £68 back to spend on a replacement, but it looks like an equivalent from another brand will cost £90ish in the current market.

Is anyone able to recommend something comparable for around £70ish please?

EDIT: 650W PSU would be fine for my system.

If you look at overclocked PCs without tons of extra fluff inflating the power requirement, most barely break 350W, let's say 400W to be more conservative, and that is measured at the wall instead of PSU outputs. At stock, you would be well under 300W.

As for your dying PSUs, I agree with nasty, something else must be killing them. One possibility would be a bad PSU electrical ground from a bad power cord, outlet or building wiring.

Can a damaged USB port cause issues? I have one with very bent pins, after a USB device got knocked (obviously I don't use it any more). It's a front port on the case, not soldered onto the motherboard.

Unlikely, a damaged usb port would likely take out the usb controller first and possibly brick the motherboard.

Sorry, I had meant to say 650W would be fine. I got 750W simply because this model was available for a very good price at the time.

500W would be fine for running at factory defaults, but not for overclocking. I intend to push my i5 4690k and GTX 970 before upgrading them 😉
