We have seven PCs and 1 laptop. Most are connected to APC UPS NS600 units which are now giving up the ghost.
As to power loads:
1 - CPU, + 2 22" Dell LED monitors
2 - CPU, + connected to 32" or 45" smart TV monitors
1- CPU, plus connected HP LaserJet + 1 Dell 22" LED monitor
1- CPU, plus connected HP Envy inkjet + 1 Dell 22" LED monitor + Hp scan Jet scanner
1- File Server (Dell Optiplex 7010 + 22: Dell LED monitor
1 - CPU (Dell Mini Optiplex) + Dell 22" LED monitor
The laptop is plugged in when it's in the office.
CPUs, except as noted, are Dell Optiplex 3020 with 4GB RAM + 500GB HDD

We are planning on replacing all of the CPUs and monitors next year. Sine we are a non-profit, cost is a consideration. What should we consider before buying replacement UPSs. Any recommendations?

What is your budget?

Start by reading some reviews; for example:

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-uninterruptible-power-supplies-ups-for-pc/

https://www.techradar.com/news/best-ups

https://www.lifewire.com/best-uninterrupted-power-supplies-4142625

Get a sense of what feature and functions are available and which ones are part of your requirements.

Do you want, for example, lots of monitoring and control on the UPSs? Or some sustained running time to keep the computer operational?

Or just basic power long enough for the user to be able to do a graceful computer shutdown?

Another good source of information is to go to the manufacturer's websites. Find and read the User Guides/Manuals for those UPS's that seem to be a good match to your requirements. Read the site's Forums and FAQs as well. Look for what is said as well as what is not said.

One additional suggestion: if at all viable look for a UPS that can be wall mounted. Even if that "wall" is the back or the side of a desk. Having the UPS up off of the floor can be very convenient and may help keep connecting wires neater and cleaner.

If cost is an issue you could also just replace the batteries in your ups. You can probably find the batteries at any Batteries+Bulbs store, or if for some reason they don't have them you can get them online for sure.

I've started looking at UPS reviews. So far, the Cyberpower units seems to be better rated than APC. All we want is a graceful shutdown period. I'm the unofficial IT geek in our office and am self-taught. We've tried replacing the batteries but the APC units we have continue to shriek even after letting them charge for 24 hours or more. And 99 times out of 199 the gang here at Tom's give the best, real world advice.
