Greetings all, I am having to purchase a new WiFi card for one of my older 15.3 gaming laptop.
I purchased it in 2009 from Sager, this is the site of my laptop. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-mySN-MG6-Notebook-Compal-HLB2.16342.0.html

The current WiFi card is the Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN.. My laptop has been performing admirably since 2009. Right up until night before last, my nephew was playing Minecraft online Saturday night and got up the next morning and the WiFi card would not detect any signal from anywhere, everything else in the house all was detecting and running wireless just fine. I ran through my troubleshooting steps and nothing works. The Laptop would recognize the WiFi card was there but it would not enable the scanning mode.

Long story short, I want to upgrade my WiFi card to something as close to current as I can. I would like to know if you all had any ideas on a good replacement for it.
Thanks so much, in advance, for all your help. I hope I can find a nice new little gem to replace this little giant.

Thanks Gals and Guys!

look in the laptop and see if it is a half height card (square one) or full height card (rectangular), fyi the half height cards will fit a full size slot.
this is a replacement that is the same, you shouldn't even have to change drivers or settings.

pretty much any newer card in the same format (mini PCIe) will work. for example
