Asus N752 laptop comes with 16GB RAM DDR4 3200 MHz. I want to uprade to 32 GB RAM (it supports that size), by purchasing two 16GB sticks, DDR4 2133 MHz (did not find 3200 MHz sticks).

Will there be an issue with this?

Solution
Lower clocked ram "should" work and the performance difference wouldn't likely be noticeable. That said your best bet is to contact Asus with the exact ram specs as there a lot more than speed and size to consider with ram. Timing, latency, all make a big difference as to whether it will work or not.

And I must ask, what in the world do you need 32gb of ram on a laptop for? If you're gaming and hoping it will improve things, it won't.
Don't. Firstly those sticks are different, so you're probably going to have issues. Secondly, unless the sticks all come within
the same pack, you can't be sure they'll work together. So all I can say is *not recommended*. Why do you need so much RAM
anyway?

I will replace both sticks by two sticks of the same type, so they should work together. My concern is whether they are compatible with the laptop.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not gaming. I am a bioinformatician and do lots of intensive numerical calculations, and need to load large datasets into memory for this. That's why I want 32GB. A PC is not an option, because I am always on the move.

Ah makes sense.

Asus is your best resource here, because they do use their own motherboards for their laptops, they can direct you to the exact memory you should be buying. Better off buying the right thing the first time.
