I have two 250gb hard drives in my pc they are pretty much broken and unusable so i would like to replace them with a new 500gb hard drive , is that even possible and am i going to cause any problems by switching from 2 hdds to only 1 , are there any things that i need to pay attention to , and which 500gb hard drive should i buy ?

Solution
You will probably do better with a single drive.
Larger drives are more dense and usually are a bit faster.
WD black would be best.
That said, consider spending more for a SSD.
A 500gb Samsung EVO ssd will cost you about $150.
You will be amazed at the difference it makes in everything you do.
