Replacing 8500GT on old mobo what are my options <$100

Piecing together a HTPC from a bunch of parts I bought circa 2008 for
the same purpose. I can't get my graphics card to display video and still doing
some potential troubleshooting. Fearing the worst what cards are available for
this mobo http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M2AVM/ I think its PCI-E 2.0 x16 but
im not 100% sure. Looking for something thats ~$50-100 and can handle 1080p
playback.

Just about any modern GPU you buy nowadays can easily handle 1080p playback

Your cheapest options would be the Radeon 5450 and 6450 cards
