I'm not that tech savy with it comes to computer hardware and this may seem like a dumb but I just want to know. If I wanted to replace my motherboard, will I be able to to keep all the other components (such as gpu, cpu, psu, hdd, etc.) and put them on a new motherboard if I happend to replace it?

As long as your replacing it with a motherboard which has the sames specs such as the CPU socket, form factor, number of RAM slots, etc. The exception would be if you were trying to replace the motherboard in an OEM system which could possibly have a proprietary design (size, ATX 12 connector, front panel connections).
