So I was thinking about replacing my power supply fan with a noctua fan. I saw youtube videos about soldering wires and I didn't really want to do that. I wanted to ask if I could use Fan Adapters Instead of Soldering the wires since the fan connector on my power supply has a 2 pin header.

Here's the cable adapter- https://www.amazon.com/Bundle-CB-32D-Adaptor-Converter-Mobile-Rack/dp/B005FYIBJ8/ref=pd_sim_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B005FYIBJ8&pd_rd_r=CYPHHXTZGKQX922EM9BD&pd_rd_w=gniR0&pd_rd_wg=R2R3u&psc=1&refRID=CYPHHXTZGKQX922EM9BD

If I were to use this cable adapter with the noctua fan to use it on my power supply will it work?

Thanks for reading!

When my fans spin up on my HX750. It makes a weird rattle noise. It's not that loud but its noticable.

My PSU is the HX750. It uses a 140mm fan. I can't RMA it since I lost the receipt for it when I bought it in store.

Yes, I've contacted them. They want my receipt through online order. I bought this PSU 2 years ago. I don't think I can verify my purchase any other way besides using a receipt. So the fan adapter would not work?

I didn't buy it. I was just asking if the cable would work. But if it does not work, do I have to go with soldering the wires?

Interesting. Thanks for the link.
