Replacing a Power Supply Fan Question

So I was thinking about replacing my power supply fan with a noctua fan. I saw youtube videos about soldering wires and I didn't really want to do that. I wanted to ask if I could use Fan Adapters Instead of Soldering the wires since the fan connector on my power supply has a 2 pin header.

no that adatper wouldn't work first of all. Second what PSU? Most PSU's use 80mm fan or sometimes even custom sizes.

When my fans spin up on my HX750. It makes a weird rattle noise. It's not that loud but its noticable.

Then you should be taking use of your warranty with corsair, instead of voiding it by opening the unit.

My PSU is the HX750. It uses a 140mm fan. I can't RMA it since I lost the receipt for it when I bought it in store.

Have you tried contact corsair support? There are other ways to verify purchases other than an in store receipt.

Yes, I've contacted them. They want my receipt through online order. I bought this PSU 2 years ago. I don't think I can verify my purchase any other way besides using a receipt. So the fan adapter would not work?

I didn't buy it. I was just asking if the cable would work. But if it does not work, do I have to go with soldering the wires?

That adapter may work, I have no idea what the inside of the PSU looks like so it's impossible to say.

Should it only be the voltage?
