Hi Guys,
One of my customers has an older Intel S3210SH Xeron x3220 2.4Ghz Server with Windows 2016 Essentials on it, there are roughly 15 stations connecting to this file server / domain controller. All stations are being backed up on a storage space made up of 4 WD NAS drives, the O/S runs off of a RAID1 made up of 2x 7200rpm desktop drives. Performance is poor and server is getting old.
I was thinking of upgrading motherboard, memory and maybe the drives (or at least the desktop drives it boots up with).
Any suggestions? Should i swap the boot drives with SSD? Should I RAID1 SSD or should i just aim for a RAID10 solution (SAS Controller and drives..)
Thank you,
