replacing an NV53A HDD with a SSD

A friend gave me his old Gateway NV53A laptop. I would like to replace its HDD with and SSD. However as I am not terrible tech savvy I am unsure if this is possible. I would like to use this SSD
Will this work with the computer? Would I different SSD work better? After I get the SSD into the computer are their drivers or something I need to install, or will it just work?

go to the gateway site (or call gateway service) and lookup the specs on your laptop...they prob have SSDs for sale if it supports it. I put one in my older Toshiba and now it screams.
