Hi guys, i do IT repair and ive been a long time enthusiast, but a lot of my work is diagnosis and fault finding then part replacement not repair. So ive embarked on the journey of board level repair and am enjoying bypassing mosfets, micro soldering and voltage tracing. However now that i advertise this kind of service i have started to get jobs come in where bios's are corrupted or otherwise inaccessible. So this has led to me looking into chip programmers to read and write bios chips in situe or after a desolder.

Does anyone on here have any experience with replacing and reprogramming a bios chip in a modern laptop or desktop pc?

Input from any other specialists greatly appreciated
