Replacing cpu (i5 to i7) do i need to reinstall windows?

Hi everyone,

I am updating my 4690k to a 4790k. i am running win10.
after replacing the cpu will it see me as a new user? will i need to reinstall?

No. Install and go, reinstallation not required.

You only really need to reinstall windows if you change out the motherboard.
