Firstly the HP laptop motherboard will not fit into the Dell's bottom base. The screw arrangements are completely different along with the size of the motherboard itself. Both the HP and Dell computers are manufactured in a proprietary manner that do not allow for them to interchange parts. Only in some cases can you use, for example, an optical drive from an HP into a Dell. This, however, can only be acheived if the both optical drives are the same part number and by removing the faceplate and installing the desired one. There are also instances where you can take a processor from an HP and install it into a Dell and vice versa, it just depends on the socket type. Even if you found some way to install the motherboard from the HP, you would come across all sorts of compatibility errors and perhaps damage other components. I would agree with wiinippngamer to simply purchase a new laptop.
However, if your Dell studio laptop is not working you may just want to consider getting it repaired. Dell Studio motherboards are ranging between $100-$200 and if you know how to install it yourself, you will save $100-$200 in repair and labor costs.
