replacing desktop usb card to 3.0

I want to change my current usb card to a 3.0 . Are there any requirements that I need to be aware before getting the new usb card?

Unless you already have a USB 2.0 card running ports, which is unlikely as you don't know the answer to your question, you can't. It's also unlikely your board has a USB 3.0 header if there are no 3.0 ports.
