Replacing failing modular PSU with new one, can i reuse the old cables?

So apparently my Super Flower Leadex 550W Platinum PSU is failing (what a shame) and needs a replacement, sadly can't RMA it.

First question:
If i buy this same model again, can i leave the old cables, and just swap out the PSU?

Second question:
If i get the gold version of this PSU (seems like the plat model is out of stock), can i still use the old cables with it? Because from pictures it looks like they have the same universal sockets.

Second question: Yes if cables for both are identical (the socket is only part of it). Why not use the cables provided with the new PSU?

According to this site's review for both PSU's, the length of the cables aren't identical, can't tell from photos if only that's all.
Well i'm not an expert, this would just save me from a lot of hassle as a building newb.. 😛 I just wasn't sure if it would work, since the old PSU is damaged.

Buying the exact same PSU is not an issue; the cables will be identical. You can check with Super Flower if the cables are interchangeable.
