Hi there,

I recently replaced my GPU and PSU on my main PC. I wanted to put the old ones in my other PC (HP pavilion 500).

I had no trouble replacing the PSU, but once i got to the graphics card in place my monitor wouldn't give a signal. I have tried to use other monitors, using different outputs, checked all the cables but nothing works.

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to fix this or if the card is even compatible at all that would be great.

The graphics card I want to put in is a Nvidia Geforce gtx 550ti.

Current Specs:

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 3330S @ 2.70GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM
4,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Foxconn 2ADA (SOCKET 0)
Graphics
2436 (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics (HP)
Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA)

thanks in advance

Solution
So, your PC boots but giving no display correct?

Looks like your graphic card isn't at fault here. Did you touch anything else while installing your graphic card?
Try re-installing your RAM and see how it goes from there.
