I bought a new tower from best buy about three months i ago i had just realized that most computers these days sold at places like best buy do not have graphic cards. At the moment my tower is running off of a ASUS
A6-6400k processor (AMD Radeon HD 8470D integrated graphics).I have an old tower with a nVidia GeForce 7100 and i was wondering if i could put it into my new computer i bought from best buy. Motherboard Model of computer i want to put the graphics card in : ASUS A55BM-A. I would like to know if the nVidia GeForce 7100 is better than the AMD Radeon HD 8470D integrated graphics.

Solution
no the amd one is better. the old card cant do the newest version of directx most times old cards are limited to 7x or 9x. newer chipset in the amd cpu will do 11x. one other issue with pre builds is the size of the power supply most have 250-400w units. if you want a good gpu you need a 600w or more. if you can wait and try pick up a 750ti on sale or the newer 960 cards when they drop at the end of this month.

as far as i know geforce 7100 is AGP card so you can't put it in your mainboard
and amd A6 gpu is better than geforce 7100 ..
forget that card .
if you want more fps you can get a gtx 750ti , a 300w psu is enough for it
