A few months back my old EVGA 650 Ti boost suddenly stopped working. I am not sure what the problem is but it doesn't turn on anymore and the card doesn't have a warranty anymore.

I was planning to buy either a GTX 750 Ti or 950. For the 750 Ti, I was planning to buy a EVGA 750 Ti FTW and for the 950, I was planning a MSI or Asus 950.

My computer build:
CPU: i5-3470
RAM: 8GB
MOBO: Asus P8Z77-M PRO
Power supply: FSP HEXA 700W

My monitor resolution is 1440x900. I am considering the 750Ti since I am worried that my PSI will suddenly give up and take my GPU with it.

Solution
I just replaced my EVGA GTX 660 with an EVGA GTX 950SSC and have no regrets. Although I was surprised to find it required an 8pin power input. A wecome addition on a card with a 16% factory overclock and even more headroom with the monster heatsink/fan cooling system.
Don't get the 750ti. It's aged.

If you're worried about your PSU, replace it before you do anything else.
