Replacing hard drive circuit board on seagate

I have matched a sea gate circuit board. Can I simply replace it? The sata data connect got broken.

yes it should be fine BUT.... the model number, revision etc.. MUST BE THE SAME otherwise... it will break the mechanics inside. All these attributes matter.
