monitor is 1080p, prefer to be 60 fps if possible

I agree with toaster. Yes, you can get very good cards for 200$, but the OP already has the 5770. Will 200$ fetch him, that good of an upgrade? Apart from BF3 maybe, theres no game which will go from unplayable to playable from that upgrade. It will indeed be very wise to wait for 7000 series early next year.

I'm kind of on the fence here about waiting. If you are unhappy with the performance of your current video card then purchase a new one.

If you can "suffer" with your current card for a little while longer, waiting is a good option, especially since we expect something in a few months. If these new cards were 6 months or more away, then waiting would be a bad idea but 2 or 3 months is something worth waiting for. Even if the new cards suck, the older ones will go down in price and you will have saved some money.

wait dude for nvidia 6xx series and ati 7xxx series when these card will be out you will like aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh new cards with new features so wait bcz i dont think so that 5770 is not like a very low end card play on it when these cards come in market i am also waiting for these

but if you want to buy urgent then buy ati 6950 or gtx 560ti nvdia
