[SOLVED] Replacing HDD Motherboard

Hi everyone, I recently lost my HDD to a power surge whilst installing my parts onto a new PC tower and it no longer works, even if I plug it into someone else's PC. I was looking at buying another HDD of the exact same model and replacing the motherboard in order to repair it.
What I want to know is 1): How do I find a HDD that's identical/nearly identical to my HDD (the closest I have found is this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Seagate...200243?hash=item341a662173:g:YIUAAOSwwFld6Ivy) and 2): Can this actually be fixed and if so how?

SATA HDD´s can´t be revived by simply replacing only the board. You will have to exchange the BIOS/firmware chip from the faulty board to the new board as well.

The easier way would be to remove the TVS diodes (overvoltage protection) which were shortened by the power surge on the faulty board. By removing these, the HDD is not protected from over voltage but should work as usual.
Just an example how the 12V and 5V diodes look like:

You will need to bridge the corresponding zero-ohm resistors.

There is a small diode at the bottom left corner and a larger one to the left of the Winbond SDRAM.

There are also two pairs of zero-ohm resistors at the SATA power connector. They may be open circuit.

UPDATE: I removed the diodes and bridged the corresponding resistors but it's still not working. Is it completely gone? Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far.
