So long story short my motherboard was likely damaged while moving (not sure how), and I may have to buy one from a different manufacturer (RMA will take a while, can't afford that much down time). If I cannot get one of the same make in reasonable condition, will I likely have to reinstall windows? I will be going for a Asus P8Z77-V to an Asrock z77 Extreme4. Other topics seem to suggest that I won't, would like to be sure. Thanks in advance.

Funny. I'm doing this exact same swap. I just ordered this ASrock board and then found your thread. May I ask what your outcome was? Thanks in advance
