Replacing my CPU (Same Model) Help?

Is the process of switching my CPU that I literally just pop off the cooler, pop out the cpu and bang in the new one and everything will be sweet?

I had a 4690 come that had marks on it so want to replace it. Can I just put it straight in and everything will be fine? Won't have to re-download/install anything?

Yes, it's just that easy. Just make sure to put on a proper amount of thermal paste and you're good to go.
