Replacing my cpu with a better one, is this one correct?

Hey guys im new to computer building etc., this is going on a gaming PC so if CPU is bad for gaming plz let me know haha
using my current build according to speccy

I currently have an Intel Core i5-6400 processor.
Looking at buying a Intel Core i7 7700K, will i simply be able to swap out my old CPU and put in new one?
(like is new one compatible)

also my motherboard is ASUS Z170M-PLUS LGA 1151 Intel Z170

im 99% sure my new one is compatible i just want to make sure first

Well, according to: https://www.asus.com/rs/Motherboards/Z170M-PLUS/HelpDesk_CPU/ is compatible but would need BIOS v3017 (latest one) to work. So, you better make sure BIOS is updated before the swap.
