Replacing my GTX 690 GPU in my Alienware Aurora R4: Will the RTX 2080 work?

Is the RTX 2080 compatible with my Alienware Aurora R4? Easy swap?

The GTX 690 uses more power, so power shouldn't be an issue. I don't really know what the inside of your case looks like, but as long as it physically fits then it shouldn't be an issue. I'm wondering about airflow though.. but again, the GTX 690 is a huge, power hungry card; so I can't imagine it being any worse than that.
