Hello,

Soon I'll be changing my mobo and various other parts however I'll be keeping the majority of my current build. Two parts I will be keeping are my ssd and hdd. Windows is installed on my ssd on my current build so I'm assuming that has to be wiped, my question is, do I also have to wipe my hdd? can I not just plug it back in to the new build and keep my files. I will of course back-up my data but I'd like to save the hassle of putting everything back on it.

Thanks,
Bizzyy

Wipe the drive that houses your OS. If part of your OS' partition(recovery or some such) is on the HDD, remove that as well. Otherwise, yes you should start fresh with the OS when you swap out or replace the motherboard.
