My Dell Inspiron 3552 got destroyed recently but luckily I was able to retrieve the HDD. I'm currently planning to get a Latitude E6410 and replacing the HDD there with the old one. I know if I do that it would pretty much boot into my old Windows installation with my old data but could there be some problems that I need to prepare in advance? Or is there any better way to do it? Thanks

Most likely it's a giant mess, especially with a laptop. Windows OS installs, unless you have a very specific Windows-to-Go installation, are not meant to be modular in this manner. Modern Windows is better at dealing with the mess when people cut corners but there's a very high chance it won't boot up at all or appear to work but leave you chasing mystery gremlins for months or even years.

Best thing to do is fire up the new laptop, clean out any bloatware, and then restore your old data from your backups.

Oh. That sucks. Guess I have to reinstall everything and transfer ~500GB of data to it then. Well, thanks for the answer though.
