Hi everyone,

A relative gave me an old HP compaq 6710b laptop full junk and malware as she didn't want it anymore. As she didn't have the original install discs anymore I figured I'd try to install an old retail version of XP on it that I had laying around.

When booting from the install disk, during the phase of unpacking what looks like drivers, I get a blue screen giving me a couple of options if this wasn't the first time including:
- checking if my HD isn't full (the HD has 110GB free space)
- a suggestion to update the BIOS or disable caching or shadowing. (I've read so far these are often unrelated and dangerous to do).

Mind you, the installation hadn't reach a point yet where I had to format a drive or were in any progress of installing. There was just just a title saying "Windows Setup" and below at the screen files roling by that were being loaded.

The exact STOP code is:
0x0000007E (0xc0000005,0xF748E0BF,0xF78DA208,0xF78D9F08)
pci.sys - Adress F748E0BF base at F7487000, Datestamp 3b7d855c

Any ideas on this case?

Addition Systeminfo:
Processor: Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7500
ROM-BIOS-version: F.0E
