Replacing old hard drive and setting up new hard drive

I have now succeeded in cloning the contents in the old full 1 TB Hard Drive to the New 3 TB Hard Drive, I would be thankful if you could please tell me what steps to take to start using the New Hard Drive and shut down the full old one. My PC is HP Compaq DC 7700.

Change your boot drive in BIOS!

You probably still have the old drive on higher priority in the boot list.
