Replacing Old System

Hey guys, I wish to appeal to you hardware gods, I have been lurking on these forums for a year and finally made an account to get your suggestions. I have experience building my own systems, but trying to keep up with hardware is like swimming up a waterfall.

These are merely suggestions, I trust you guys more than random reviews from newegg/tigerdirect/amazon.

This rig will mainly be used for gaming, video editing maybe (mostly fraps kind of stuff). and im looking to spend around 1000-1400 preferably before rebates but i have some wiggle room.

Note: ** not necessarily going to overclock... I want a powerful system to have that choice

Graphics - up in the air at the moment. always had radeon, but my nvidia 460 on my other system is converting me quickly haha. most bang for my buck etc etc. any suggestions would be helpful.

You didn't specify your gaming resolution - if your screen is 1920x1080, you certainly won't need a 1kw psu . . . and we can't specify graphics without your res.

oh, im sorry!

currently use 2x 24in LCD's both at 1920x1080. obviously only use one to game the other for internet etc.
