i just bought a new case and intend to use my old MOBO and ram and hard drive in my old pc, any tips or things i should know before doing this? like 'dont work on carpet" or "try not to crack the MOBO"

thanks really need this.

1.Try not to scratch the motherboard
2.Always ground yourself before working on it
3.Do not work on it while on carpet
4.Use a esd strap on your wrist or esd protective mat below you before working on it

Also, if you do not have any of these items, touch the power supply metal casing with your screwdriver to temporarily ground yourself for the time being

Do not bend the motherboard in half.
Do not cut holes into the motherboard.
Do not let the dog chew on the motherboard.
Do not attempt to plug the motherboard directly into the wall.
Do not cook an egg on the CPU.
Do not take the golden pins off of the CPU.
Do not test the motherboard in the swimming pool.

dammit, well there goes my sunday night.

to be fair my computer had a puddle it it this morning after a thermoelectric cooler failure
