Hi guys,

i bought a new prebuilt from Lenovo but I wanted to upgrade the PSU. The model is called Lenovo IdeaCentre Game PC 90RW003DMH. Is it possible to upgrade to a better PSU?

Prebuilt PSU info is generally hard to get. To get a real answer that isn't a wild guess, you need to open it up, see what PSU is in there now, and if it seems to be a non-standard one, how many pins the various connectors are that are connected to the motherboard have.

No. It's a proprietary power supply with a proprietary power connector for the motherboard. Shouldn't have bought a Lenovo.

Best thing to do is to pull the CPU, RAM, GPU, drives out of the Lenovo and buy a new case, PSU and motherboard and install everything in it.

I once had a HP compaq OEM PC where i was able to fit in a corsair but 90 percent OEMS these days are difficult to upgrade, as our friends here said, you have to need to open your cabinet and see.

A better PSU or a more powerfull PSU?
Why do you want to replace it. Are you experiencing issues or do you want to add a GPU?

Take a search on fsp450-20tgbab. It fits an Ideacentre Gaming 5 ant has a 6+2 pin PCI-e connector.

No. I've seen this PC a few times in the forums and Reddit. It's a funky TFX type PSU that's 12V Only, no standby and a weird 10 pin power connector. Nothing works with it.
