Replacing PSU: Necessary to Replace Component Cables?

Hello,

I've been having some issues with my computer and I think I have the issue narrowed to either the power supply or the processor. I decided to start with the cheaper of the two and ordered a new power supply.

My question is: Do I need to replace the cords supplying power to the components or can I use the wires from the previous power supply? Obviously, I'd rather not have to rewire my computer unless I have to. I've posted information for both power supply units below (both are fully modular).

Additionally, I've come across a few similar posts that, like this one, ask about component specific issues. Is there a general rule of thumb for replacing power supply component cords? For instance, when replacing with a PSU by a different manufacturer, if it's over X years old, if there is a change in wattage, etc.

Thanks!

Old PSU: OCZ ZX Series 850 Watt 80+ Gold Fully-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ-ZX850W)

New PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G3, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular (Power Supply 220-G3-1000-X1)

That's a bummer. Thanks for the quick reply!
