Replacing RX480 with RX580 - do i need to uninstall drivers?

Replacing my Asus RX 480 Dual OC 8GB with a Gigabyte RX580 8GB due to it crashing all the time. I think it was due to the factory settings coming with a big overclock more than recommended.

So my question is do I need to do a clean uninstall of all the RX480 drivers or should it be ok?

If the drivers are the newest ones from AMD, then you shouldnt need to uninstall them.

I would say it SHOULD be okay - HOWEVER, I would still recommend using Guru 3D's driver removal tool to completely remove the drivers.

It may be a touch of paranoia on my part, but that's how I would do it.

thanks - i thought each graphics card had its own set of drivers didnt realize it would be the same ones. But il still be cautious and remove them as you say
