Hi, I was thinking of replacing the stock CM 690 II front fan because I am finding it a bit loud with general use. TBH it is connected directly to the PSU meaning it is at 100% all the time because I only have two cha_fan slots on the motherboard.

So my question is, is there a good fan I can buy with similar airflow (or better) to replace the front fan with the main aim being silence or close to it.

I have a few in mind at the moment such as:
-BeQuiet SilentWings 2
-Noctua NF-F12PWM
-Noctua NF-A14 FLX
-Noctua NF-P14 FLX
-Corsair AF140
-Aerocool Shark 14cm

Please give me some feedback on this or suggestions for better 140mm case fan.

Thanks!

default hyper 212 evo fan= 120mm
corsair af120 = 120mm
should fit nicely. just get the quite series for less noise, i think its the blue color one. the red one are performance series for high airflow.

Hi, so I was about to purchase the AF140 and then saw a new version of the be quiet fans called Pure Wings 2. They are a lot cheaper and have less Dba, so which is a better set up for a quiet pc and will I notice any difference between the two set ups. If not I can save a bit of cash.

(1) Total Cost £20.06
-Remove all stock fans on CM 690 II Advanced.
-1 be quiet! Pure Wings 2 140mm @ Front -connected direct to PSU
-1 be quiet! Pure Wings 2 140mm @ Top -connected direct to Motherboard
-1 be quiet! Pure Wings 2 120mm @ Rear -connected direct to Motherboard

(2) Total Cost £27.72
-Remove all stock fans on CM 690 II Advanced.
-1 Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition @ Front -connected direct to PSU
-1 be quiet! Pure Wings 2 140mm @ Top -connected direct to Motherboard
-1 be quiet! Pure Wings 2 120mm @ Rear -connected direct to Motherboard

Also does the rear pure wings 2 120mm fan have enough CFM (51.4) or should I keep the stock rear fan?

by the specs of the fans.... i think it will do ok and if it shave some buck then that's good. i tried a lot of fans b4 sticking to corsair af series. i havent try the pure wings 2 yet,,, well its new.
PS
1st rule thumb casing fans.
always stick with default fans 1st. check if temp overall is satisfactory. if not then u can find alternative. no need to spend if defualt fans already good 😀

probably not since most casing use standard 120 or 140 fans some use 200 . just check if one u replacing is 120 then make sure u pick 120 for the pure wing also. nice case by the way. 😀
