Replacing the motherboard with same model

So seems like I got a damaged motherboard, I have to send it back to the store and they will probably send me a whole new one Asus Z170-A. Does my windows-licence still recognize the key or is it logged in the bios files or whatever? Is it enough that i deactivate the licence with
slmgr /upk <Product key>
and activate it again after replacing the mb with
slmgr /ipk <Product Key>
?

With the same board , your key should be 100% recognized and activated.

Thank you, if you remember this , changing the psu didn't fix the problem and the card works just fine with the old pc parts. I contacted mindfactory and they told me to send the mb back for rma stuff. Thanks for the answer.
