Question Replacing thermal paste on EVGA RTX 2070 Black Gaming

Hi everyone,

Im about to replace the thermal paste of my EVGA RTX 2070 Black Gaming for the very first time, so I have a few questions since I don't do this very often, and its been a few years since I did it on another GPU.

1. I Have a brand new Arctic MX-4 paste, is this ok for this job (there are not many options here)?

2. Im not so sure I will be able to find the correct thermal pads here in my country, if Im very carefull and don't destroy the current ones, can I re-use them? (I know is not ideal, but sadly it is what it is).

Anyways, I thank you in advance for any input.

PD: The GPU in question its about 6 years old. Only used for gaming.

Well... problem not really, but today was the first time since I got it that I have seen the max hot spot temp (hwinfo) reach +100º C (103.4ºC). Max GPU temp was about 76ºC.

Its a hot day in here, but not as hot as it will be in a month when summer hit us.

Usually GPU temp, no matter the game, hover around 80º C, while Hot Spot is always below 100ºC.

I'm pretyy sure this readings are still under the "somewhat" safe conditions, but since is goind to get worst (temp wise) I thought it was about time to do my beloved RTX 2070 a service.

But of course I am open to suggestions and opinions.

PD#1: Idle temps, with both fans off, are about 44ºC~50ºC and hot spot 59ºC~68ºC.

PD#2: I played a little more (20 mins), max temp: 76ºC, hot spot 104.7ºC
