I have a home build a friend sold me, works fine but it's an unauthorized copy of win7 pro. I want to know if there will be any issues coming from replacing the unauthed version to an authorized version that I purchase...even if it's Win7 Home Premium...does it have to be Win7 Pro, or Win10 Pro? Thanks so much. I know just barely enough to be dangerous. ;-) (PS, It's an i7 processor)

ok, both your answers (thatvietguy and sr-71 blackbird) have led me to one more question. Blackbird says a clean install of W-home10, vietguy says 'as long as it has a legit product key'. For a clean install, i would need to back up my created data externally and basically wipe the disk with a clean install. (tell me if i'm off base here, even the microcenter folks couldn't answer this for me). Vietguy, do you concur? Blackbird is a senior moderator, but i'm ok with combining both your answers :)
