I have an older HP P6000 AMD Athlon II x4 650 processor 3.6 ghz with 12 mb ram. I did have a GeForce GTX650 video card with 2048m gddr5 PCIE. It went south on me. Computer would not boot until I remove the card. I would like to replace the card but was wondering if the GTX650 with 2GB would work in my system? Or can I only replace it with the older video card? Thanks for any help.

Solution
on newer gpu the wattage of the power supply and the bios on the mb may limit you. some older mb dont like newer efi gpu like the 1xxx nvidia gpu. the wattage of the power supply will limit you. most pre built use 75w or less gpu that get there power from the pci slot.
